About Damn Time.

Augusta, Georgia lost its brewery during prohibition, and thirsted for local beer for 95 years. That was a mighty long time for the citizens of The Garden City to not have their own brew. So the Dragonfly landed, and brought Augusta fantastic beer in April of 2016. Since then, Augusta has enjoyed great beer and good times at Riverwatch Brewery.

But all good things must come to an end, and we are announcing that we are closing. It’s been a great time, and we hope you come spend a bit of time with us before we fly off into the sunset. April 19th 2024 (our 8th Anniversary) will be our last day, and we are planning a fantastic party to say farewell and thanks. Come drink with the Dragonfly one last time!

The Lineup.

At the River Watch Brewery, we have three core brews, in addition to limited releases and experimental brews. We hope you come in and try all of what we have to offer and give us your opinions on the experimental brews. Let us know what you want to drink! We’d love to create your next favorite beer.

The Brewery

OUR STORY

Unfortunately, after 8 years of operations, we are closing as of April 20, 2024. First COVID zinged us with news that the Farmers Market was closing, which meant we were going to have to move. Finding a place that could handle 21-foot high equipment was a challenge, so we sold the equipment and planned a new taproom venture. BUT, while Augusta is full of big buildings with the size we would need, it has a nearly non-existent inventory of buildings that don’t need millions of dollars worth of renovation/rehab to even be functional. With no place to move to, we’re calling it a day. Please come say goodbye and grab some soon to be collector’s items merch while you have the chance!
